Since 1920, the “IMP” has represented more than a name. It stands for integrity, momentum, and partnership. For over a century, Midland Implement has proudly distributed and marketed quality products throughout Montana and Northern Wyoming, growing alongside the communities we serve.

In the early days, our team traveled the territory by train and later by car, serving dealers across Montana and Northern Wyoming. Our product offerings included respected brands of the time such as Case cars, Easy washers, Emerson-Brantingham farm implements, and Eskimo freezers. From the very beginning, our founders believed in Montana’s future, and that belief continues to guide us today. Under second-generation leadership, the company expanded and diversified to meet the changing needs of the region. Over the decades, Midland Implement represented a wide range of nationally recognized manufacturers across automotive, agricultural, irrigation, turf, appliance, and power equipment categories. As industries evolved, so did we.

Today, third-generation owners Gary and Randall Pates carry that legacy forward with a clear focus on strengthening our role as a trusted distributor and manufacturer representative. Our core business centers around farm equipment, underground irrigation systems, landscaping products, water well pumps and accessories, and professional-grade power equipment. We proudly represent leading manufacturers and remain committed to delivering dependable products backed by knowledgeable support.

With our headquarters in Billings and branch locations in Bozeman and Missoula, our factory-trained teams serve a growing network of dealers across the region. We continue to invest in our people, our partnerships, and our processes to meet the demands of today’s dynamic marketplace.
